One final (incredible) incentive
If we reach our Kickstarter goal–$15,000 by 7 a.m. Saturday, only 36 hours away–I’m going to give away one of the most extraordinary carvings I have ever made.
Measuring roughly 15″ high by 8″ wide, and carved in incredible bubinga wood, it says “Writing” in the endangered Kulitan script from the islands now called the Philippines.
You have to see this to believe it. The wood was given to me by the master guitarmaker Adam Buchwald, and I have never seen anything like it.
So, here are the rules.
1. We have to reach our goal at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/endangeredatlas/endangered-alphabets-sudoku
2. To win the carving, you must have made a pledge of at least $20. Anyone who has already donated to the campaign may add to their donation.
3. On Saturday at noon ET, if we have reached our goal, I’ll pick a backer at random and immediately email them with the good news. If I don’t get a confirmation within 24 I’ll choose an alternate.
4. I will pay for packing and shipping within the US, but if the winner is outside the US they will have to carry that expense.
5. The winner must subsequently send me a hi-res photo of the carving in its new home. It will be hard to part with this one.
If you have questions, email me and I’ll post updates on Twitter (sorry) at https://twitter.com/TBAlphabets.
Ready, steady, go!
